Melanie: I would like to discuss the new preservative Tinosan SDC. What is Tinosan SDC?

Hollie:Tinosan SDC is new to the market all natural preservative and anti microbial based on a stabilized silver complex produced by a unique electrochemical process with silver and citric acid. It is a water-soluble silver salt of citric acid. INCI: Citric acid and Silver Citrate It is formaldehyde free, non-halogenated, contains no phenols and no quaternary ammonium compounds.

Melanie: Can test results be provided showing the products effectiveness?

Hollie: It passed challenges tests for Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, Yeast and Molds and fulfilled USP test requirements in formulations with anionic and nonionic emulsifiers and shampoos. Tinosan SDC provides broad-spectrum anti microbial activity and is effective against unwanted skin bacteria and pathogenic microorganisms. Its fast-killing activity makes Tinosan SDC an effective anti microbial for home and personal care products and hospital formulations. Bacteria have been exposed to silver ions for over 4 billion years and no widespread resistance has been evident to date. The risk for microbial resistance to Tinosan SDC is considered low.

Melanie: Is this preservative approved for use in the USA?

So if we all agree that full disclosure of listing ingredients TRUTHFULLY is paramount and in some cases, lifesaving, then why doesn’t everyone list the ingredients that go into their products?
